Well, as expected, I did not get a whole helluva lot done in the first year of Lyla's life. I think this Log Cabin is the only quilt I completed last year, besides hers, which is the Patience Corner that I've already posted about. But, the important thing is, I made it for a wedding gift for my friend Laura Baker, and I got it done in time for her wedding. That is a major accomplishment! (Sad to say.)
I had originally wanted to do the front of this quilt in the
more funky style that you sometimes see, thinking that was more Laura's style, but hell if I could figure out how. So, I made a crazy back, instead. I think they have a king size bed and this fits it fine. It was super big.
