Christmas Presents!

Here is the first of the snowman quilts I gave for Christmas. This one was for Lois. I did some extra artsy stuff in the borders. Meh. But overall, I like it! These were the perfect colors for her.

Snowman Face Fun

I have been having fun making snowmen for more Christmas gifts. This one's going to be really pretty, I think. I love the fabric Mom and I found.

More faces! These are not my colors, but it will still be pretty. I cut triangles instead of squares, so these will be wonky corners.

Ornaments!

Isn't this so cute?!? I am going to do an ornament exchange with some friends of Mom's and so I think this is what I'm going to make, with some different, fun Christmas fabrics. I need to make Christmas placemats, too. And Christmas cards. I'm behind, and it's still only October!!!!

Elliana's Quilt

I am done with this one, and I love it! It was fun to just go crazy with the quilting.  Mom embroidered  the baby's name on the top before I quilted it.

Mystery quilt 2017-2018

These are my fabrics for the mystery quilt class starting at Cotton Cupboard next month! Aren't they pretty? It will be for Seth in the end. He says his favorite color is yellow, followed by blue. Mom and I took the class last year and I was really fun. Now to get the time off work!

Hurricane Relief

These are some pillowcases that Mom and I made for Hurricane Harvey evacuees. Honey Bee Quilt Shop is taking them to Austin Disaster Relief - I think they will go to people evacuating to the Austin mega shelter.

Back on the long arm!

The longarm has been out of commission for 6 weeks! It is nice to have it back and be quilting again. I have to get this quilt done for Christmas. :-)

Quilting on Christmas quilts.

I haven't posted a whole heckuva lot in the past year because I've been working on these Christmas quilts for gifts! But I thought I could show the quilting a bit. I finally got one up on the longarm.

The border feather and some filler quilting that did not turn out how I wanted it to, but it's cool enough. 😆

Swirlies

Snowflakes

Pebbles - or maybe snowballs in this case!

Quilts I Want to Make

I saw both of these at Honeybee. Aren't they pretty? I am definitely partial to stack-and-whacks.

Niko's Quilt - Confetti

Here is Baby Niko's quilt! (Lyla is being Vanna at the top.)  I started this quilt in a class at Cotton Cupboard in February. It was pretty tedious, because you have to use a triangular ruler for every cut: line them up, cut it, flip it, line it up, trim if necessary, line again, cut, flip, repeat. I bought the white background and the backing, but everything else is scraps. Some of the scraps in there is fabric that had belonged to Jenn - she made a Curious George shower curtain and I got the leftovers.

Confetti

Working on this Confetti quilt for our new nephew! It's all scraps (except the white). Learned the pattern at a class at Cotton Cupboard.

Mystery Quilt Revealed

Here is Anne's quilt!

And here is mine:
I think it looks pretty badass. I actually bought this pattern at a shophop last summer, but I have been too busy (or intimidated) to work on it yet! I think it's called Labyrinth Walk. Pretty kewl. I'm planning to give this to Lyla, but it is ginormous.
