Hunter's Star - ready for piecing

Oh, hello, Stunning! I am in love with this quilt.

Today my little sewing circle ladies came over. Sandy was putting a top together made from jelly rolls and charm packs; Darnell was fussy-cutting five-sided diamonds in bright colors for a quilt she's hand-piecing; my mom was working on her Civil War paper piecing quilt; and I got all the pieces for little Amelia's quilt done!

Hunter's Star Progress

Two more blocks done!

The chevron fabric was a mistake. But I'm leaving it! It gets the point across still!

The purple looks good:

Hunter's Star

I cut out almost all of the next baby quilt two weekends ago and this past Saturday I started putting it together. It's a Hunter's Star pattern. I may have made it unnecessarily complicated (my mom thinks so), but I am glad not to be doing templates. Check out this block!

I love the drama!  This is for the little sister of the girl who got this quilt and will also he done with rainbow colors.  I have a second block done, but it isn't nearly as dramatic and I think I might redo that one.

Baby Quilt Complete!

I finished the star airplane quilt last week and gave it to the baby. My daughter was so excited to go along with me and meet the two-month-old recipient.

I took my time on the quilting and quilted around the stars in something like a feather, filling in with much tighter designs that got delightfully poofy upon washing!

Excuse the kitty.

Here's the airplane again.

I am so pleased, and the mom loved it, so yay!
